Family Support
Bedfordshire & Luton face to face The Bedfordshire and Luton scheme is based within the carers support organisation Carers in Bedfordshire. We have 12 befrienders who meet once a month for their support and are all very keen and committed to being there for another parent in the way that they wish someone has been there for them. They will visit parents at home to listen and offer one-to-one emotional support. They are able to do this because of their own experiences as parents of disabled children. The befrienders have knowledge and experience which you can tap into and hopefully find useful. For more information you can call us on 01234 214914 or visit the web site below. Luton All women’s Centre Luton All Women's Centre is a centre for all women. We are run by a team of employees and volunteers. The idea of a women's centre was formed with the support of local organisations in 1992 when the lack of a focal point for women in Luton was highlighted. All women are welcome. There is a safe play area for children and we provide toys and books. Unfortunately we do not offer crèche facilities and your children remain your responsibility at all times. There are toilet facilities at the centre but at this present time we do not have facilities to cater for people with disabilities.
